About Cindy Tong
Cindy Tong is a ceramic artist based in Sale, Gippsland. She takes inspiration from nature’s curious patterns to create her diverse and intricate pieces. From foliage to geology, her work focuses on zooming in to the finer details and looking beneath the surface. This comes across in her work as she switches from abstract to drawings of Australian flora. Each piece is then carefully considered with a complimenting glaze, if any. Cindy experiments with various coloured slips and its application to mimic the imperfections and textures found in nature.
