As both a sculptor and a psychologist, I’m fascinated by the understanding that what meets the eye can often be deceiving, what we see at first glance may not fully reveal the complexity of the human experience. Vessels of Emotion explores the intricate and multifaceted nature of our emotions. These vessels are designed to evoke deep emotions and reflection, touching on fear, joy, sadness, and disconnection. Vessels of Emotion celebrates the delicate interplay of our emotional states, where contrasting elements often find harmony in a delicate balance.

About the Artist
Margaret Campbell is a ceramic artist and psychologist from the Gold Coast. Her artistic style is a harmonious fusion of her South African heritage and her attraction to human thought and emotion. Her work often explores symbolism and hidden meanings, exploring the notion that what meets the eye can often be deceiving, recognition that surface appearances often underestimate the depth of complexity within. Drawing from her psychological expertise, her work explores themes of introspection, resilience, and the intricacies of emotion. Margaret Campbell is passionate about creating sculptures that provoke thoughts and feelings and create pieces that arouse emotional responses due to its form, colour, texture and beauty. Through her personal growth and exploration as an artists she aims to explore and create a deeper understanding of the human condition, its strength, humility, compassion, and amazing creative ability. She hopes to encourage others to embark on their own journey of self-exploration.
