Description
With a strong focus on materials and process, the artist explores the potential of each concept and idea while taking the constituent pieces to a perceived conclusion.
Mosaics and sculpture both offer an opportunity to experiment and explore new directions while meeting the need to create the reality of the imagined thing.
Sometimes abstraction of colour, line and form are the only aim and allow for a strong focus on that while a more figurative interpretation can shift that focus so that perceived shape and motion catch the eye.
With a strong history of fabrication – the artist has built two houses and multiple sheds and has made multiple artworks – its all about the making, but a making of something that reaches the eye and perhaps touches the soul.
