About the Artist

Marie is an emerging artist based in the lush Sunshine Coast Hinterland on a property with rainforest and wildlife. She draws on her environment for inspiration and as an incentive to run a sustainable studio. Her copper sculptures and household items have now been exhibited in many locations and she has been selected as a finalist in several significant art prizes. Marie rescues her beads from unwanted jewellery and discarded items, she doesn’t use heat, everything is by hand and her art pieces can be pulled apart and recycled when no longer loved, completing the sustainability circle.
