Description
“After the Mud Dried” series uses timber salvaged after the floods and carpentry items gifted from the artist’s late father and tell a rich story in miniature. Living through the floods heightened the feeling of ‘small, precious things’. “After the Mud Dried (trio)” sculptures combine miniature houses cut from a salvaged dining table perched on spindly uprights seemingly teetering above an unseen crisis. The artwork serves as a thought-provoking commentary on the impact climate change triggered events are having on the landscapes and communities of this region.
