Description
Ric is a glass artist with over 40 years experience. He started with stained glass and then started fusing and casting glass. Upon relocating to Australia, he set up “The Glass Studio” in Mackay. While in Mackay he started glass blowing at “The Fisherman’s Glass” studio. Then he set up his first hot shop/gallery in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, continued in Kuwait and now blows on Mt Tamborine. Most of Ric’s work is free form as he loves human movement which can be seen in his work. He currently makes the yearly Gold Coast “Heart of Woman” awards. He did the Queensland Music awards. Other noteworthy commissions are either art pieces or décor for major hotels. You can find his work in the Hilton, Kuwait, Arraya Ball Room, Kuwait, Marina Hotel, Marriot Hotel Art and Tech Hotel, The Meridien Hotel. He also did some lighting projects for the Treasury.
