Description
The inspiration for this piece comes from another time when the artist worked as a fisherman on a trawler in the waters out from the Gold Coast – dragging the seafloor. On rare occasion a Sea Dragon would be dragged from the depths – its vivid colours fading with the death of air – delicate yet strong with its bony exoskeleton – a creature mystical and symbolic – a dragon alive in its home out in the deep blue beyond.
