Join us for a 40-minute art workshop for young artists. You can paint a ‘mullet fish’ or a ‘black cockatoo’ and take it home with you. These beautiful creatures have been cast in clay by Monte Lupo to depict the native animals described in Luther Cora’s stories. Both the mullet fish and black cockatoo are of great significance to the Indigenous peoples of this land.
Come along to SWELL Kids Elements and pick up your paintbrush as you decorate, with your own special touches, a mullet fish or a black cockatoo, inspired by the local First Nations story of the mullet season, told by Luther Cora. These adorable little fish and cockatoo are inspired by the wonderful history of families from all over these lands coming together to share stories and laughs.
Workshops run throughout the day, book online to come along and paint your own masterpiece.
