Description
Hare is the celebration of the European Brown Hare. Imported with early colonists in the 1800s, hares have woven themselves into the fabric of our country and now form a significant part of the live prey of Wedge-tailed eagles. Self-reliant, soft footed, and self-aware these noble sentinels remind us of the need to tread lightly on these lands.

About the Artist
Educated in the Classical Tradition of painting and sculpture, Felicity Smith’s works seek to represent the deeply emotional relationship between living beings. In her 3D works, she encourages the viewer to engage directly with the pieces and to use their sense of touch as well as sight to explore and develop their connection with the subject.
