Description
This piece is very fragile – just like the real life Weedy Sea Dragon it represents. Global warming is causing more damage in cooler waters than in the waters further north, and weedy sea dragons (always Jacqui’s favourite animal) are in danger (like everything else) of extinction. The fragility of this piece echoes the fragility of our current times.

About Jacqui Sosnowski
Jacqui is a late-comer to ceramics but has re-ignited a passion held almost 50 years ago. She mainly concentrates on Alternative Firing methods such as Obvara and Raku, but is also proficient with functional high and mid-fired ware. Recently Jacqui has become more interested in sculptural works ranging from vases to non-utilitarian pieces. She has a beautiful showroom as part of her Studio in Mullumbimby where she works with her partner, Sam, who is an accomplished Printmaker.
