Blue Note came to life when a sculptor with synaesthesia listened to Miles Davis jazz. The resulting piece is a fusion of form and vision, capturing the essence of the music in three-dimensions.

About the Artist
John’s interest in visual arts was sparked during his childhood, when he would often spend time in the backrooms of commercial galleries where his parents worked as conservators. He later trained as a pattern-maker and industrial designer across various industries, gaining a comprehensive understanding of different materials, albeit with limited creative freedom. Since relocating to the Mid North Coast in 1989, John has dedicated himself to being a full-time sculptor. His work is now part of both private and public collections, nationally and internationally.
