Resonance With Maggie is a sculptural vase that celebrates the magpie for its resilience and creativity. The magpie, with its watchful, protective stance, mirrors the artist’s experience as a guardian and nurturer of her children especially since moving to Australia. Its roots symbolising her journey of grounding herself in this new environment—adapting, learning, and finding her place and carving her niche in Australia’s art scene while embracing its natural and cultural landscape.

About the Artist
Kavitha is a Singapore-born budding ceramic artist and visual storyteller exploring memory, place, and belonging through clay. Inspired by heritage, childhood, and Australia’s natural landscape, her slow-made ceramics—both functional and sculptural—invite conversation, nostalgia, and connection. Each piece serves as a vessel of storytelling, bridging past and present through tactile narratives.
