This piece is made from 100% recycled Australian copper & recovered beads from discarded jewellery. ‘Burst’ is also 100% recyclable when no longer required making this piece sustainable art.

About Marie Shannon
Marie is an emerging artist located in lush Sunshine Coast just outside Maleny. Her work explores re-milled recycled copper through weaving of baskets, wall hangings, light fittings along with decorative wall hangings and small sculptural pieces including jewellery.
A trip to Chile several years ago took Marie on a journey to the world of copper as an art medium and she often expresses her connection to the Chilean and Australian landscapes through woven stories.
The beaded art is mostly made from recovered beads from old jewellery and other discarded items, to support her love of sustainable art made from recovered and recycled but also can be recovered and recycled when it is not longer required.
